Concept
Salud is a digital magazine for modern reflection — a slow, thoughtful space where stories are meant to be savoured. The design draws inspiration from the tactile world of printed newspapers, translating analogue warmth into a contemporary digital experience. The goal wasn’t to recreate the past, but to borrow its texture and intention.
Challenge
The challenge was to design a brand and website that feels timeless yet digital — evoking the intimacy of print in an online format without feeling nostalgic or outdated. It needed to feel quiet, confident, and deliberate, inviting the reader to slow down and engage deeply with content.
Solution
I built a visual identity centred on muted off-whites, washed-out blacks, and a rich typographic system that makes reading feel ritualistic. The layout prioritizes negative space, texture, and typographic rhythm to encourage a slow scroll. The result is a brand and digital space that honours the physicality of print while embracing the flexibility and reach of the web.
